“I remember the smell of the museums.

The varnished mahogany cabinets, shiny brass plates and hooks. The careful spidery hand writing, faded old typewritten card labels. Stained and mottled papery linings.

The massed specimens in their cases compelling in their number, variety, colour and category.

With this series of my work I am making museums of memory.

Collecting. Capturing. Classifying.

My work wants to hold fast love and loss.
